Kiko Kostadinov’s Spring Summer 2025 menswear collection, titled Xenetic, presented a clinical, near futuristic vision grounded in utility and modularity. Shown with minimal ornamentation, the collection drew heavily from the visual language of medical and laboratory wear, framing garments as functional systems rather than mere expressive statements. The tone was precise and controlled, positioning the clothes as tools designed for adaptability, movement, and use within transitional or in between spaces.
Silhouette played a central role in articulating this tension between structure and mobility. Curved seams and sculptural darting shaped jackets and trousers, introducing volume and articulation. Asymmetric constructions appeared through shifted panels, side zips, angled openings, and snap closures, subtly disrupting symmetry while enhancing ease of movement. These details echoed the logic of scrubs and lab coats, where access and and function take precedence over traditional tailoring conventions.
Footwear and accessories extended the collection’s biomechanical and transit driven narrative. Quilted calf high boots and sneakers with exaggerated tread patterns suggested orthopaedic or commuter references, reinforcing the idea of clothing engineered for passage and endurance. Sparse schematic and molecular inspired prints appeared as subtle surface details, maintaining the collection’s clean, utilitarian, and quietly futuristic character.
First seen in look 19, these Solix slippers features a green quilted upper with elasticated collar and an exaggerated, threaded rubber outsoles.
