"What would the jean look like today?”

Upstairs Garments presents a special capsule of Levi's RED curated by m.ilieu. Levi's RED is a premium denim line first launched in 1999, led by Danish‑born designer Rikke Korff to radically reinterpret the classic Levi’s five‑pocket denim. Over the next decade, the line explored fashion-forward interpretations of denim before the original series was discontinued around 2014.

The first release, Twisted RED, debuted in Europe and later in the United States, limited to just 9,000 units. Each piece was crafted as a premium item and was available only in select stores around the world.

Between 1999 and 2014, Levi’s introduced seven distinct RED collections: Skewed RED (2001), Icon RED (2002), Workwear RED (2003), Sex RED (2004), Big RED (2006), Rustic RED (2007), and Lined RED (2014), each reflecting a unique approach to innovation and design experimentation.
