SS25 Kiko Kostadinov "Xenetic" Alec K-Dart Jacket

Kiko Kostadinov’s Spring/Summer 2025 menswear collection explored a clinical, near-futuristic aesthetic rooted in utility and modular design. Titled Xenetic, the runway was presented with little ornamentation, instead drawing on the visual codes of medical wear.

In this collection, silhouette was central to the tension between structure and movement. Curved seams and darting shaped outerwear and trousers, while jackets with shifted panels or side zips and tops with asymmetric lines disrupted symmetry and added mobility. Side fastenings, angled openings, and snap closures reinforced the reference to scrubs and lab coats.

Beyond tailoring, footwear and accessories extended the theme into ideas of transit and biomechanics. Quilted calf-high boots and sneakers with exaggerated tread patterns suggested orthopaedic or commuter references, while mirrored accessories and headgear reinforced the sense of garments designed for passage, service, and engineered function.

The palette was anchored in black, cream, and surgical green with contrasting panels and trims, while fabrics leaned on technical blends and jersey qualities to emphasize ease and comfort. Prints resembling schematic markings or molecular diagrams were applied sparingly, keeping the effect clean, controlled, and quietly futuristic.

From look 26, the Alec K-Dart Jacket was cut from cotton jersey with darts curving at the elbows, asymmetric front panels, and a closure combining concealed zips with press studs. Striped webbing trims and bonded detailing highlighted its technical precision, while the soft fabric grounded the piece in comfort and mobility.
