Taking inspiration from Patti Smith and the Sex Pistols, Jun Takahashi’s Undercover Spring Summer 2009 menswear collection, titled "Neoboy & Poptones," pays homage to these punk icons.

The collection opens with "Neoboy," derived from Patti Smith’s poem of the same name. It embodies the punk spirit with its slim silhouettes, achieving a clean and minimalist elegance.

"Poptones" serves as a tribute to Johnny Rotten, former frontman of the Sex Pistols, and the Public Image Limited (PIL) song of the same name. This half of the collection features baggier shapes and more aggressive tailoring, offering a striking contrast to the casual and relaxed Neoboy silhouettes.
