True to its rebellious spirit, Undercover Spring/Summer 2006 “T” collection explores the potential of a basic T Shirt.
While paying homage to Maison Martin Margiela, Jun Takahashi embarked on deconstructing simple tees to create garments with intricate silhouettes, complex shapes, and drapes. Pieces such as headgear, pants and jackets were reimagined, and rebuilt from scratch using just shirts.
T delved deep into coherent storytelling and world-building through fashion. With religious-like styling, models walked a runway carved by dimly lit candles.
This floral jacket showcases the reconstruction of tees, with pockets repurposed as necklines, cuffs, and lapels.
