The Spring/Summer 2006 collection from Comme Des Garçons Homme Plus, titled “Lips and Tongue,” stands as one of the brand’s most iconic and sought after releases. Paying homage to the legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones, and prominently featured the iconic “Tongue and Lips” logo, designed in 1970 by Jon Pasche.

The collection showcased an array of vibrant, bold pieces that embodied the rebellious spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. Rei Kawakubo, displayed her inner rockstar in a backstage interview, stating, “Rock is the symbol of energy and rebellion.”

A striking feature of the collection was the use of the Tongue and Lips logo, which appeared repeatedly on blazers and pants. Its graphic repetition evoked the subversive culture of the 60s and 70s, reminiscent of the loud and trippy design motifs found on acid blotter tabs during that era.

This particular shirt is found on look 14 of the runway and features a blue and white striped pattern, with a large, iconic red “Tongue and Lips” logo emblazoned on the right breast pocket.
