The Spring/Summer 2004 Undercover collection, titled “Languid,” featured pairs of identical twins walking down the runway.
Each pair wore similar outfits but with a twist: one appeared normal while the other was distorted and droopy, reflecting the collection’s name.
The collection made a statement on world conflicts with its dark, moody palette and texts like “Violence invites violence,” “Silly to kill,” and “Who wants to be a soldier.” One could argue that the distorted garments mirrored the fatigue and frustration brought upon by warfare.
This militia inspired MA-1 jacket features pockets reminiscent of utilitarian flight jackets donned by aviators.
