Kapital Paneled Clown Pants
Kapital Paneled Clown Pants
Kapital, the brainchild of father-son duo Toshikiyo and Kazuhiro Hirata, stands as one of the most famous examples of Americana's influence in Japan. The brand began as a high-quality denim label inspired by their experiences in the United States and developed a distinctive identity that blends Western heritage with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, such as sashiko, indigo dyeing, and boro.
A beloved staple from Kapital is their iconic 12-button fly clown pants, which have seen numerous iterations over the years (some of which we've carried before). Kazuhiro Hirata masterfully combines Japanese experimental craftsmanship with American-inspired workwear in these designs.
This particular pair features a cinchable back strap, the signature 12-button fly, and reinforced knee paneling with darts for added durability and mobility.
