Boris Bidjan Saberi’s Autumn/Winter 2024 collection continued his slow, artisanal approach to menswear. Drawing inspiration from his Persian-German heritage, Saberi fuses Western tailoring with Middle Eastern garment references, creating a dialogue between tradition and innovation. The season emphasized the brand’s ongoing interest in adaptive construction and wearer-controlled volume, pairing sharply tailored suiting with roomy, strap-and-lace systems on trousers and outerwear.
The restrained palette allows the intricate textures and finishes of the garments to take center stage. Utilizing waxed cottons, treated wools, and custom-developed cashmere blends, each piece undergoes meticulous hand-finishing processes, including object dyeing and acid dyeing. These techniques result in one-of-a-kind garments with unique textures and tonal variations.
Presented in a lookbook format, models wore asymmetrical oversized capes and harnesses alongside signature Saberi silhouettes, including drop-crotch trousers, footwear from his ongoing collaboration with Salomon, and sculptural jackets, as well as garments designed with multiple layers. Many pieces feature elements such as oversized collars, asymmetrical closures, and extended sleeves, offering both protection and adaptability to the modern urban dweller.
This long sleeve shirt from Look 21 and 24 of the collection incorporates the signature strap-and-lace system, allowing the wearer to adjust the fit and drape of the top. The extended sleeves, complete with finger holes, further emphasize the collection’s focus on functional versatility.
