Takahiro Miyashita’s Autumn/Winter 18 collection was presented as part of a joint show with Undercover’s Jun Takahashi.
Agreeing on a symmetrically reflective theme, the two powerhouses shared a show that could be regarded as one of the most remarkable Pitti Uomo showcase in contemporary fashion.
Miyashita’s collection was heavily post apocalyptic and utilitarian. With tech jackets hung on shoulders or served as an additional drapery, ready to spring into action. While devoid of literal influences, his collection is still distinctly Japanese at heart. With models donning traditional geta sandals while shrouded in cloaks and balaclavas. Takahiro’s AW18 features some of the most complex styling with anarchistic undertones.
This oversized hood features a cotton shell lined with wool, and adjustable bondage straps.
