Rebuild by Needles 7 Cut Flannel Shirt
Rebuild by Needles 7 Cut Flannel Shirt
Brainchild of Keizo Shimizu, Rebuild by Needles was founded in 2012. Focusing on breathing new life into old garments through deconstruction and reconstruction. Stitching together different parts, the line creates one-of-a-kind reinterpretation on everyday wardrobe staples, extending their lifespan through sustainable and innovative design.
Its predescessor — Sonic Lab was founded in 2002 with the same design ideologies. Sonic Lab was focused on creating military, workwear inspired garments in an American Casual style for the everyday person. This laid the groundwork for the designs present in the Rebuild by Needles lineup.
A staple of the ongoing Rebuild program is none other than the 7 Cut Flannel Shirt. Celebrated for its concoction of classic Americana, DIY aesthetics, and Japanese craftsmanship. The shirts often have an unfinished, raw look with a mix of textiles, prints, and colors. By deconstructing and fusing seven panels from vintage shirts, Keizo Shimizu revived the appeal of a classic silhouette. Celebrities like A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott have been spotted wearing Needles' flannels, contributing to its rapid rise in mainstream fashion.
This checkered flannel is accented with panels of solid colors, and shiny materials.
