The glamour came from classical draping, bias cutting, elongated lines and luxurious fabrics and materials. The grunge came from the way he washed, distressed and deliberately undermined those materials until they appeared faded, frayed or already lived in. Located in Concordia sulla Secchia, a small industrial town in the province of Modena, Italy. O\u0026amp;M was the only manufacturing factory that said yes to Owens' unconventional designs. Owens spent years working directly in Concordia, even sleeping on a couch in his factory office every production period while learning the rhythms of industrial production. In 2015, Olmar and Mirta’s operations were folded into Owenscorp Italia, which later took ownership of the Concordia factory.
